Imaginal Canvas
Bridging the worlds of psychology, art, education and technology, Imaginal Canvas is a drawing and journaling app with a twist. What will you discover as your symbolic image emerges?
Haptics, physics-based audio, a high-performance drawing engine, slick animations, and an online community sharing platform all come together to deliver something innovative and unique.
Working as the CTO alongside visionary and co-founder Alex Booth, this project has asked me to use all of my skills. From low-level graphics programming in Metal to cloud-based web APIs to re-imagining the traditional drawing canvas user interface and experience, this project has been and continues to be truly rewarding.

Inspired by the new UI physics frameworks which were released on iOS in 2018, I created a playground for people to experiment with gravity and repulsion in a generative landscape with rich visual elements and audio feedback.
