Generating artwork with computer code is an exciting process where the artist writes rules, often with random components, to paint shapes and colors to the digital canvas. During this process, the artist may tweak the algorithm many times to discover the final artwork, usually culminating in an "ah-hah!" moment. Although the artist approaches the canvas with a specific aesthetic idea in mind, the final output is almost always unexpected and surprising. In this way, the algorithm itself becomes the artist and we become spectators witnessing its expression.
